U16 v Ballycomoyle Match Report 14 May

Multyfarnham 2 – 17 to Ballycomoyle 3 – 1

We played Ballcomoyle in Multy on Monday evening . This was our 2nd outing in the league, we had already beaten Inny Shamrocks on 30/03/2012 by 3 -21 to 4 – 4 @ Castlepollard.

We were nearly at full strength, great turn out. Ballycomoyle were big strong team , they didn’t seem to really get into the game especially in their forward line , very little from them in the line off shooting for scores , this was mostly down to resolute defending by the Multy backline . I won’t say it was a brilliant performance from Multy, but it was better than good. There will be a break now for a while with exams coming up, hopefully the lads will try and keep up fitness levels, and be ready for Championship football in about 5 wks.

We ran out easy winners in the end , some fine scores taken throughout the game .                         Team & scorers, Heiner Von Beanu, Eoin Weir, Stephen Donoghue, James Green, Ronan Wallace, Ciaran Mc Govern , Daniel Loughery [0-2] Robbie Gillan[0-2] Keith Reid [1-0 pen] Ian McGovern [0-6] 2 frees Peter Murtagh [0-4] Craig Sweeney [0-1] ,Robert Lohan, subs all played , Mark Reynolds[1-0] Paddy  Mooney [0-1],Oisin Dolan [0-1] Tommy Tighe , Darragh O Connor , Adam Loughery , Ryan Fulham . We kicked 15 wides in this game; I am sure with a bit more match practise this can be sorted
